Bomb Squad (55) vs. BrewCity Bruisers (Milwaukee) (63)

On Saturday, May 3, the Bomb Squad hosted the BrewCity Bruisers from Milwaukee, Wis. at the PLEX in Fort Wayne. Coming off a tough loss against Cincy last month, the Bomb Squad came out ready to play hard and did so from the very beginning. Heading into half time with a nice 8 point lead, it seemed the team had finally come together and found their groove.

The Bomb Squad maintained its lead throughout the 2nd period, as well, until some jammer penalties put them at a disadvantage and BrewCity fought back. With 4 minutes to go, the Bomb Squad's once 15 point lead had dwindled to 4. A few more low scoring jams back and forth saw a one point game with 1:12 left to go (BrewCity led for the first time all night). Bomb Squad jammer Pushycat went to the jammer line to fight for the win, but unfortunately, a cutting the track penalty forced her to the box and BrewCity successfully put 7 points on the board.

Final score: 63-55 in favor of BrewCity.
